Josten & Klein pinot madeleine Glanzstuck 2017
Regular price €23,80Pinot madeleine is one of the typical red grape varieties from Germany, known as a precocious mutation of the pinot noir and often called frühburguner in Germany. This grape usually produces very light and fruity wines. Marc Josten's Pinot Madeleine is one chunk of elegance and finesse, but shows a meticulous approach in vineyard and cellar due to its complexity and long finish. The grapes for this wine also come from the Ahr wine region, just like the pinot noir wines from Marc Josten. This region owes its name to the river of the same name and is known for a high production of red wines. The neighboring Eifel Mountains protect the vineyards from high precipitation and provide ideal conditions for the ripening of the Pinot Noir grape variety or in German 'spätburgunder'. The subsoil of the vineyards consists of slate and sandstone. When smelling, we notice small forest fruits, raspberry and a slight hint of violet. When tasting we notice ripe cherry, raspberry and a light terroir undertone. This combined with an elegant and fine finish, with perfectly balanced acids and tannins. Pure pleasure for pinot noir lovers! health!
