Special Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru from the Terres de Velle domain. Les Chaumées is a very steep and slightly elevated vineyard towards the border of Chassagne with Saint-Aubin, with an Eastern exposition and a 20 year old vineyard. The soft pressing is followed by a traditional vinification in French barrique, of which 25% is new oak, where the wine matures for about 15 months after the end of the alcoholic fermentation. This beautiful premier Cru shows Chassagne in all its glory with a beautiful combination between minerality and creamy expression of Chardonnay. This full-bodied and rich white wine therefore requires a beautiful basic product that is prepared in a classic and rich way (butter...).
