Domaine des Chasseignes is the wine estate of Aurore Dezat, where she and her husband David Girard make wines on the family domain, founded by her grandfather at the time. Before Aurore produced its own wines under its own name, all the grapes of the domain were sold to négociants. Gradually, Aurore and her husband have chosen the path of quality and they have phased out external sales. The domain is a good example of modern polyculture, because in addition to grapes/vines they also grow other cereals.
Everything is organic, for viticulture they are in bio-conversion.
The vineyards of the domain are characterized by the presence of limestone, clay and the well-known flint (silex) for the region. Aurore makes wines that represent all terroir factors of the region and grape, particularly pure and extremely balanced.
