Johan, Tom, Bob and Olivier. Friends. Globetrotters. Daredevils. Foodies. Always up for four times the fun. What started as a crazy idea is now bottled gold. For us, La Madrugada remains above all amazement and pleasure, which we like to share. In gratitude for our top team in Argentina and the great partners in Belgium and the Netherlands.
The common passion for wine brought the 4 friends together in Argentina in 2016 to develop their own vineyard and make their own wine. La Madrugada is a micro-project and currently covers only 0.5 hectares, from which in the future, in normal vintages, about 2000 bottles will be made per year.
The vineyards are located in Los Chacayes in the Uco Valley (Mendoza), at an altitude of about 1058 meters above sea level. Today La Madrugada makes two wines, a blend of cabernet franc and merlot and their flagship monocépage of only cabernet franc.
