Mas Simsó

This bodega was taken over in 2019 by the Belgians Simon Van Acker and his wife Sophie Blieck, who launched their first wine at the time. Since then, they have continued the rich wine tradition with great passion and craftsmanship. The vineyards, located in the beautiful 'Sierra de Montsant', are characterized by a slate subsoil, which gives the wines their characteristic intensity. With vines that are more than 45 years old, a natural complexity is created that can be found in every bottle. This area has a rich history dating back to the 11th century, which is clearly reflected in the power, depth and finesse of the wines. By approaching the vinification process with the utmost precision, Simon and Sophie manage to create balanced wines time and again that are pure enjoyment for the taste palette. Cheers!
