Cantor Rojo 2018

Cantor Rojo is a young red wine made exclusively from the tempranillo grape and a modern accessible wine. The old vines are planted on the slopes of Sierra Cantabria, located in the village of Villabuena de Alava. The subsoil of these vineyards contains a lot of loam, which absorbs the heat during the day and releases it again at night, so that a nice even ripening takes place. The grapes are picked by hand and then the majority goes into stainless steel cuves and ¼ in oak barrels of French and American origin. In the nose the wine gives red forest fruits, cherry and some thyme. On the palate, the touch of ripe cherry returns with a slight hint of liquorice and low tannins, which are perfectly balanced with the acidity.
