Pen Göttweig
With a rich tradition, the wine estate of Stift Göttweig in Furth is one of the oldest domains in Austrian wine history. Evidence of the domain's existence dates back to 1083, in writings from the Benedictine monastery of the same name.
Nevertheless, Stift Göttweig is a domain where time does not stand still. Continuous development of the installations and a meticulous approach to vineyard management ensure particularly fine wines with gastronomic strength. The wines are not certified organic, but the domain works with great respect for nature, both in the vineyard and in the wine cellars.
The municipality of Furth bei Göttweig is the gateway to the Unesco protected wine region 'Wachau', located on the Danube and one of the most beautiful wine valleys in the world. The vineyards in this commune enjoy a wide variety of microclimates, which allow for complex and layered wines. health!
