Domaine Bernard Gripa 'les Figuiers' 2022
Regular price €36,30Saint-Péray may be the least known appellation of the Northern Rhône, but this cuvée 'Les Figuiers' shows what it has to offer. This wine is a perfect marriage between Marsanne and Roussanne grapes, sourced from vines planted around the village of Putiers on a rich limestone soil.
The grapes are harvested by hand, after which the wine is aged in barrels with regular bâtonnage (stirring of the wine). On the nose the wine reveals aromas of quince and ripe peach, with a subtle hint of vanilla. When tasting, citrus fruits emerge, with a floral undertone. The long, rich finish shows a perfect balance between roundness and finesse.
To fully enjoy this wine, it is recommended to serve it in a wider glass and, if it is still young, to decant it at least half an hour beforehand. This ensures pure pleasure from start to finish.
