After an international career as a sommelier and oenologist, Raúl Moreno returned to his native region of Seville. In the heart of the sherry triangle, he crafts still wines that start from grape and terroir, without conforming to traditional styles. His experimental approach is rooted in classical techniques such as flor aging, spontaneous fermentation, and the use of amphorae and old barrels. With a focus on forgotten vineyards on chalky albariza soils, he translates his passion into precise, expressive wines that reveal the region’s characteristic minerality and freshness.

La Femme d’Argent is an elegant red wine made from palomino and syrah, grown on the chalky albariza soils of Barajuelas, Miraflores (palomino) and Carrascal (syrah) in Sanlúcar de Barrameda. The palomino is directly pressed and develops a powerful layer of flor during a long, four-week fermentation. The syrah is foot-trodden without destemming and ferments over three weeks. Both wines age separately for ten months under flor in oak barrels, before being blended.

The result is a very light red wine in both colour and style, with a crisp texture and pronounced saline tension. The nose opens with aromas of roasted nuts, juicy red fruit and spice. On the palate, the wine combines lightness with a fresh, mineral finish that recalls a powerful fino.
