Crystallum

Crystallum is one of those wineries that makes you dream… breathtaking landscapes, endless hills, and wines that leave you speechless.

The estate is located in the Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, in the Walker Bay region of South Africa, and is led by brothers Andrew and Peter-Allan Finlayson. They are the third generation of Finlayson winemakers and sons of the pioneer of South African pinot noir in this region. Although Andrew initially studied architecture and Peter-Allan economics and philosophy, their passion for wine eventually won over. Today, Peter-Allan oversees the cellar and winemaking, while Andrew follows his heart in the vineyards.

Founded in 2007, the estate focuses exclusively on the Burgundian grape varieties pinot noir and chardonnay. The vineyards are situated on carefully selected top sites in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, the ideal region for these grapes, often referred to as the Burgundy of South Africa. The combination of exceptional terroirs, craftsmanship, and the brothers’ dedication results in world-class wines that are refined, elegant, with remarkable depth and length.

Crystallum works with respect for the fruit and the environment. In the cellar, the work of the vineyard is nurtured and guided without manipulation, so that the wines faithfully reflect the character of their origin.
