Gusbourne

Gusbourne, located in the picturesque Kent region of the UK, was founded in 2004 by visionary Gaston Weeber. From the moment the first vines were planted, the mission was clear: to produce the finest vintage wines, made exclusively from grapes grown on its own vineyards. Today, the estate extends over 90 hectares, split between 60 hectares in Appledore, Kent, and 30 hectares adjacent to the Goodwood Estate in West Sussex.

The Gusbourne Estate grows the highest quality grapes – Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier – all from Burgundy clones. These grapes produce smaller but intensely flavoured bunches that thrive in the region’s unique microclimate. This exceptional fruit forms the basis for Gusbourne’s award-winning sparkling wines, all made using the traditional method.

What makes Gusbourne special is that even the base cuvées are millésimé, blended from grapes from a single vintage. The first vintages, Brut Reserve 2006 and Blanc de Blancs 2006, were unveiled to great acclaim in 2010, immediately gaining recognition from the world’s most critical wine experts. Gusbourne’s sparkling and still wines continue to win prestigious national and international awards every year, firmly establishing the estate as a producer of high-end English wines, where craftsmanship and terroir go hand in hand.
