Rubatsch is one of the wines that breathes the region and history of Alto Adige. It is made from the local 'lagrain' grape. Lagrein is a grape characterized by its high tannins and authentic character. This domain succeeds in turning the lagrain into a special wine: complex, intense but silky smooth and a bomb of juiciness and fruit. The vineyards of the Rubatsch are scattered in the region: 2/3 come from vineyards in 'Terlan', 1/3 come from the vineyards on the lake 'Lago di Caldaro'. All vineyards are oriented southwest and after manual harvesting, the wine is kept in oak casks for 14 months, of which 1/10 is new. On the nose we have blackberries, plum and violet. On tasting we get elderflower syrup, ripe blue fruits and a velvety finish with a lot of complexity. Serve in a wider glass and with a refined cuisine. health!
