Marc Josten pinot noir Mönchberg GG 2019
Regular price €53,90This pinot noir 'Mönchberg' from Josten & Klein comes from the Ahr from the 'Gosse Lage' vineyard 'Mönchberg' of the same name. This region owes its name to the river of the same name and is known for its production of red wine. The neighboring Eifel Mountains protect the region from high precipitation, providing ideal conditions for the pinot noir grape variety, called 'spätburgunder' in Germany. The subsoil of the vineyards consists of slate and sandstone. When smelling, we notice small forest fruits, ripe cherry and a slight hint of licorice. When tasting we notice ripe cherry, raspberry and a light terroir undertone. This in combination with an elegant and fine aftertaste, with perfectly balanced acids and tannins. This is a very great wine, which belongs to the top of Germany and far beyond. If you drink this wine young, decanter it at least 30 minutes beforehand. Serve in a wide Burgundy glass and enjoy. health!
