Roonen Bergh BelBul extra brut
Regular price €28,50On the slopes of the Rodeberg, in the heart of the rolling Heuvelland hills, lies the Roonen Bergh wine estate. The combination of loam and iron-rich sandstone soils, a sheltered location and a cool microclimate provides the ideal conditions for producing fresh, elegant terroir-driven wines. With a focus on classic grape varieties and artisanal winemaking, this estate puts its own stamp on Belgian wine.
BelBul Extra Brut is the estate's sparkling wine. This refined cuvée is composed of 40% auxerrois, 20% chardonnay, 20% pinot blanc and 20% vin de réserve, partially aged in barrique. Made according to the méthode traditionnelle, the wine matured for at least 12 months ‘sur lattes’ and was finished with a dosage of 4 grams.
In the glass, the wine shows a lively effervescence with fine, persistent bubbles and a delicate, lasting mousse. The colour is bright pale yellow. On the nose, expressive aromas of citrus, white blossoms, ripe stone fruit and a subtle touch of brioche.
On the palate, the wine is crisp, fresh and mineral. The fine acidity brings tension and vibrancy, while the vin de réserve adds depth and fruit concentration. The balance between acidity, structure and length gives this wine its elegant character.
