Marc Josten riesling Kabinett 2021

This semi-sweet riesling from the Mittelrhein is a tight and fresh sweet wine. The vineyards for the white wines are planted in the municipality of Leutesdorf, the oldest and largest wine village of Mittelrhein. The vines themselves are on impressive slopes with a subsoil of calcareous loess and slate. The grapes are picked manually and then go on stainless steel cuves with native yeasts. In the nose we are spoiled with scents of citrus fruits, mint and zest of grapefruit. When tasting, the white stone fruit and the acidity come to the fore, nicely rounded off by some residual sugar, but certainly not too sticky. In the aftertaste we are spoiled with a floral undertone and a tight aftertaste. It is best to place in the fridge for an hour or two before enjoying. Serve in a slim white wine glass. Health!
