Domaine Fabien Duveau has been led by Fabien, the eighth generation, since 2008. The estate comprises forty parcels in Chacé (Saumur‑Champigny), all managed according to organic and biodynamic (Demeter) principles, with natural ground cover and manual soil cultivation to support biodiversity and vine health.

‘Bourg’ is a 100% cabernet franc from a single vineyard planted in 1966 on the green chalk outcrops of Varrains. The hand‑harvested grapes are rigorously sorted on arrival in the cellar, then undergo spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in concrete tanks, without added sulfites. After a traditional maceration, the wine is aged for approximately ten months in the same tanks to preserve the natural balance and mineral character of the terroir.

This cuvée shows pronounced aromas of ripe cherry with a subtle spicy undercurrent. On the palate, ‘Bourg’ offers impressive depth and freshness, with a pure mineral finish and finely structured, soft tannins. Annual production is about 4,500 bottles.
