Domaine Fabien Duveau has managed around forty parcels in Chacé (Saumur‑Champigny) since 2008, following organic and biodynamic principles (Demeter certification), with respect for soil and biodiversity.

‘Menais’ is a 100% cabernet franc red cuvée from vines averaging 30 years old on sandy soils over limestone in Varrains. The vineyard is worked entirely by hand, with natural grass cover between the rows. The grapes are hand‑harvested and carefully sorted upon arrival at the cellar. After gentle pressing, spontaneous fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts in concrete tanks, without added sulfites. A relatively short maceration preserves freshness and fruit character, and the wine then matures for about six months in the same tanks.

This ‘Menais’ impresses with a transparent nose of fresh strawberry and a subtle spicy background note. On the palate it delivers a balanced structure, where supple, ripe tannins combine with refreshing acidity and a light, peppery finish. Annual production: approximately 10,500 bottles.
