Terres de Velle Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru 2021

Unique and beautiful Grand Cru from the Terres de Velle domain. This Corton Charlemagne comes from two 'plots', on the one hand from the vineyard 'en Charlemagne' with a Northwestern exposition and on the other from the vineyard 'le Charlemagne' with a Southwestern exposition. The vines are all about 40 years old and all these factors together add up to great finesse, strength and long ripening potential. The soft pressing is followed by a traditional vinification in French barrique, of which only 20% in new oak, where the wine matures for about 18 months after the end of the alcoholic fermentation. The result is a special wine, precise, lively and with a subtle saltiness. We recommend decanting this bottle, when in its youth, about an hour and a half before serving to bring out all the characteristics of this unique wine.
