Thierry Drouin Plaisance Viré-Clessé 2022

Viré-Clessé is located in the northernmost part of the Mâconnais on South-Eastern oriented vineyards. Due to the beautiful limestone soils and the tempering effect of the nearby river Saône, these wines bring balance, finesse and a slender elegance to the glass. After the harvest and slow pressing, the fermentation takes place in partly stainless steel and partly oak barrels with maturation until the spring months following the harvest year. This chardonnay shows the best of both worlds, its rich, wood-aged tones form a classy basis for the slightly more exuberant, ripe fruit.
