Josten riesling 2011

This Riesling from the Mittelrhein is a tight, dry and fresh white wine. The vineyards for the white wines are planted in the municipality of Leutesdorf, the oldest and largest wine village in the Mittelrhein. The vines themselves stand on impressive slopes with a subsoil of calcareous loess and slate. The grapes are picked by hand and then put in stainless steel cuves with autochthonous yeasts. In the nose we are spoiled with scents of citrus fruits, mint and grapefruit zest. When tasting, the white stone fruit and the acidity come to the fore. In the aftertaste we are spoiled with a floral undertone and a tight aftertaste. Best to place in the fridge for an hour or two to enjoy. Serve in a slim white wine glass. health!
