Regular price €35,30The red Saint-Joseph from Domain Bernard Gripa is made from 100% syrah grapes, from vines planted on granite soil. These vines, with an average age of 30-35 years, give the wine depth and maturity.
The grape bunches are picked whole, after which the stems and less good grapes are removed. The juice undergoes fermentation in open barrels, followed by barrel aging for one year. The wine has a cherry red color with a violet sheen.
On the nose the wine offers aromas of ripe cassis and blackberries, with a hint of white pepper. When tasting, the ripe fruit immediately emerges, followed by a spicy, fine and long aftertaste. In its youth it is recommended to decant this wine in advance to allow all the flavors and aromas to emerge optimally.
