Terres de Velle Savigny-les-Beaune 1er Cru Aux Vergelesses 2021

This fine white Savigny-les-Beaune premier Cru comes from vineyards close to Pernand-Vergelesses. The vines are on the Eastern flanks in an appellation best known for its red wines, only 2400 bottles of the white wine are made. The vines have an average age of 30 years and a porous limestone substrate. The harvest is completely manual and the wines are raised on their own yeasts with a regular bâtonnage with an education of only 25% on new barrels. This wine has scents of white peach, fresh apricots and a light almond touch in the nose. When tasting, the white stone fruit comes to the fore and especially in the finale we have a very fine balance with elegant acids. This wine is unique due to its small volume, but is so generous in a beautiful Burgundy glass.
