Château Qanafar 2016

This top wine from the Qanafar estate is a powerful red wine that is complete in every way. With its excellent ageing potential, it is a textbook example of how modern Lebanese red wine should taste. The vineyards for this wine are located on southwestern slopes, planted with mainly syrah and a little merlot. After a careful manual harvest, the wine matures for 12 months in French oak barrels.

The nose unfolds a rich scent of ripe cassis, blackberry marmalade and a subtle hint of liquorice. The powerful character is immediately apparent in the glass, with flavors of ripe blue fruits, green pepper and a soft touch of vanilla bourbon. The perfectly balanced tannins and acids complete this whole and leave you wanting more of this beautiful wine.
