Nittardi 'Belcanto' 2019

Belcanto is the Chianti Classico of the beautiful, organic domain Nittardi in Tuscany. On the label none other than Michelangelo Buenarotti, the former owner of the domain, flourishes.

Belcanto is a blend of sangiovese that comes from two completely different vineyards in terms of microclimate, on the one hand a vineyard that is slightly higher (+ 450 meters), on the other hand from a lower part (+ 270 meters). This blend of microclimates provides the finesse and complexity in their first Chianti wine. In the nose, this Chianti is characterized by aromas of ripe cherry and raspberry, a light florality and soft spiciness. In the mouth this wine shows itself as a soft and round, powerful red wine with moderate tannins and a long finish. After winemaking, this wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels of 500 liters and 'botti' of 3500 liters.
