Sanclodio Casa da Porta 2022
Regular price €24,40Bodegas Sanclodio, located in the oldest wine-growing region of Galicia, Ribeiro, was once owned by Spanish film producer José Luis Cuerda. He replanted old grape varieties such as Treixadura, Godello and Loureira on the steep slopes towards the Avia River. In recent years, the estate has been taken over by Carlos Moro, who continues to improve the quality. The wine estate covers 12 hectares and produces wine from its own vines.
Casa da Porta, in contrast to the other Sanclodio wine, is made exclusively from treixadura grapes, grown on an old vineyard opposite the winery. With its specific orientation and very pure granite soil, this wine gives more intense aromas of ripe white fruit and green herbs. The attack is refreshing but rather soft and somewhat rounder with fresh acids and a soft refreshing bitterness. The long finish testifies to the unique location of the vineyards.
