Les Apôtres… This wine is very unique and therefore also limited. For this wine, all 13 types of grapes are used that can be cultivated according to the Châteauneuf-du-Pape regulations. Some vines are no less than 100 years old. They are all planted on either a sandy soil or on galets (round pebbles/stones, which are very typical for this region). Nothing is left to chance for this unique wine, hand-picked, grape by grape. The vineyards are worked according to the biodynamic calendar. Afterwards, the grapes go into amphorae for 4 months without the addition of sulfites / yeasts, then the juice goes into amphorae for 18 months as an education, the wines are not filtered to give the wine optimal storage potential. Very intense color, in the nose we find blackberries, cherries, cardamom and a light pepper touch. When tasting, wild blue forest fruits and the powerful character of the wine come to the fore. This wine is perfectly balanced and gives a long finish with notes of balsamic, licorice and cassis. We recommend opening and decanting this wine for at least 30 minutes in its youth. Serve in a narrow red wine glass to fully enjoy its rich aroma palette. Health.
