Unique and beautiful white Burgundy from the grand master in the Côte de Beaune, Domaine Albert Grivault. This Bourgogne Blanc transcends the regional appellation without a doubt. Today the domain is run by Albert's great-grandchildren, Michel Bardet himself, Albert's grandson still helps with the vinification, maturation and even marketing of the wines today. Grivault wines are characterized by their purity and honesty, these wines are made great in the vineyard and not in the cellars. With minimal intervention and interactions in the cellars (eg. virtually no battonage), Grivault's wines taste rather subtle and finely strung, these are wines that need some time and oxygen in the glass to show their true qualities. That is why we recommend decanting these wines a while in advance in a wide carafe!
