Crystallum Cuvée Cinema pinot noir 2021
Regular price €48,80Cuvée Cinema is a beautiful pinot noir from a single vineyard in the Hemel-en-Aarde valley. This vineyard has a premium location and is one of the original top zones chosen at the time where pinot noir was introduced. Today this is still a vineyard known for its high density and specific 'Dijon' pinot noir clones. This wine owes its name to the vineyard that served as the backdrop for the famous film about the life of Napoleon, hence the name 'Cinéma'…
The natural fermentation starts with 60% full bunches in stainless steel tanks for a good month, after which the wine matures for a year in oak. (25% new oak). This makes for an ultra-balanced pinot noir, straight and with tension! The nose immediately spoils you with many different shades in the red fruit arsenal, interspersed with subtle fresh and dried herbs and a subtle earthy touch. The tannin is particularly soft, fine and elegantly supported by the acidity. Carafe this wine when you enjoy it in its youth, pour into slightly wider and fine glassware!
